Biography

Dr. Drew Chambers, Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy, joined Providence College in Fall 2025. Dr. Chambers specializes in ethics, epistemology, and philosophy of education, with a special focus on the philosophy of Iris Murdoch and neo-Aristotelian ethics. Before coming to PC, Dr. Chambers completed his Ph.D. at Columbia University under the supervision of Megan Laverty with David Bakhurst, Matthew Congdon, David Hansen, and Katja Vogt comprising his dissertation committee. He co-founded the North American Association for Philosophy & Education and organizes its annual conference which meets outside of Chicago.
