Personal profile

Biography

As an historian of the biomedical sciences and health policy, I examine broader questions relating to how basic and clinical research discoveries have informed patient care, impacted health outcomes, and shaped public perceptions of health care.

As an instructor, I aim to bring a historical perspective to current health care and science policy debates.

I earned my PhD in History (with a concentration in the history of science and medicine) from Yale University. Before joining the PC faculty, I spent two years as a Stetten Fellow in the Office of NIH History at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
