Biography
Dr. Liu Wang is Ruane Endowed Professor of Finance at Providence College and Director of Research at Balanced Wealth Management. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder, and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Dr. Wang’s research has appeared in a wide array of high-impact academic journals, including Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Journal of International Money & Finance, European Financial Management, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Global Finance Journal, and Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, among others. She currently serves as Senior Editor for International Journal of Emerging Markets, Associate Editor for Emerging Markets Review and New England Journal of Entrepreneurship, and is on the editorial board of Corporate Governance: An International Review. Her research and dedication to the profession have been recognized with various research excellence, best paper, best reviewer, and distinguished research mentor awards. In addition to being a prolific scholar, Dr. Wang also serves as Board of Directors for several local and international organizations, including the CFA Society Providence, Academy of International Business (AIB) US Northeast Chapter, and WaterFire Providence. She is the past president of the CFA Society Providence.
